Craven Water Rats Sub-Aqua Club

CLUB EVENTS

Training & Meetings:

Our club meetings take on various formats and occur at various locations. In general we meet on Sunday nights for pool training sessions at West Craven Swimming Baths, Barnoldswick, Lancashire and this is followed by lectures with the new recruits at the Tarn House Country Inn. We arrive at 5.30pm at the pool and finish at about 9.30pm in the pub. If we are not involved in pool training (which is rare), we meet at 7.30pm on Sunday evenings at the pub for lectures or a social meeting, the owner of venue is also a keen diver with many years experience.

Club Diving Trips:

As Craven Water Rats are a very active diving club, we run numerous dive trips through out the year and, several members also go on trips as individuals. Up and coming events to look forward to include;

  • Outings to Oban, The Farne Islands, Capernwray Quarry, Devils Bridge, Hodge Close and Wast Water.
  • A club trip next year to the Mediterranean or even the Red Sea is also in the planing stage.

Regional Events:

Regional training events, lectures and other topics of interest are shown on the SAA news page.
